By using this website you agree to these terms. This is the site of the Idle & Awake channel, and the same principles apply across the Idle & Awake sites.

1. Information, not advice

Episodes and write-ups explain what the records show about a question. They are for general information and education. They are not financial, investment, tax, legal, medical or other professional advice. Before you act on anything that matters to your money, health or legal position, check it with a qualified professional.

2. Accuracy

Every episode lists its sources, and we correct mistakes openly (see corrections). Publishers revise their figures and records, though, and a fact that was right on the day an episode was made can change later. The site is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, and we do not guarantee that any figure is complete, current or suitable for your purpose.

3. Videos and other services

Episode pages show a still image of the video and load the player from YouTube only when you press play; YouTube's own terms apply to the player. Links to Amazon are affiliate links and are labelled as such (see our affiliate disclosure). Links to sources and other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.

4. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Idle & Awake is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you.

5. Acceptable use

Please don't use this site for anything unlawful, try to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to it, or scrape it at a volume that burdens the service.

6. Content and links

The text, charts, design and code of this site belong to Idle & Awake unless stated otherwise. Data, records and quoted material belong to their publishers and are credited. You are welcome to link to any page and to quote short passages with a link back.

7. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last revised, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
